Contract: Casual hours, as and when required.
Salary Rate: £9.90 per hour
Tasks: We are looking for energetic, committed, and passionate female youth and community workers to help plan and deliver engaging physical activity sessions for young girls in the local community of Hyde. You will identify appropriate opportunities and enable them to participate in personal development, training, and volunteering. You will adopt a person-centred approach and be responsible for welcoming new participants into each session, ensuring they are at ease and empower them to fully participate and engage effectively.
Skills & Experience Needed: You will have fluency in written and oral English language skills and hold a level 1 Sports qualification or equivalent experience. You will have a good understanding of the challenges faced by young girls from the minority ethnic backgrounds in Hyde. You will have some experience of working with and supporting volunteers and young people on their personal learning journeys. You will have experience of planning and delivering community activities. The post holder will have good time management skills a be a positive role model for young people. You will be IT literate and be able to write reports as required. The post will require you to be available for evenings or weekend work.
