Operational Manager Vacancy

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2021 with a potential extension subject to funding

Salary: £28,000 p.a. (pro rata), 20 hours per week

Tasks: To manage a small team of staff and undertake all administrative responsibilities in conjunction to this ensuring that training and development opportunities are available to enhance performance and to achieve the Charity’s aims. To support the Senior Management Team with HR related administration tasks including policies, procedures and strategy planning. To ensure that the organisation employs the right balance of staff in terms of skills and experience.

Skills & Experience Needed: We’re looking for an experienced Operational Manager to start immediately, hitting the ground running. You will be a HR generalist and can provide first-line HR advice on a wide range of people related queries, and effectively manage employee relations cases and other people issues. You will be educated to a minimum level 3 in Human Resources Management and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing a team. Your experience will include conducting appraisals, workforce training programmes, performance management, employee engagement and employee relations. You will need to be experienced in developing and implementing policies and procedures and have previously engaged in effective talent spotting. You will have knowledge of employment law as well as the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. You will be confident in working with a Staff Team, Senior Management and Trustees. You will have excellent time management skills, be IT literate and be able to write reports on a regular basis. In addition, you will be flexible to meet the demands of the service which may include some weekend and evening working.
